The GranTorino HB sofa designed by Jean-Marie Massaud is like a small piece of architecture. The seat structure is in metal tubing with interwoven elastic belts. Backrests and armrests are created from birch plywood. The external padding of the backrests and sides is in polyurethane foam and polyester wadding, whilst inside there is a soft quilting embellished with "X" stitching and padded in polyester wadding. The seat cushion is in down and polyester wadding with polyurethane foam stabilising insert. Each element is coupled with precise numbers of “moving” cushions, enhancing the backrest. The cushion sizes are 60x60 cm and 47x47 cm and they are filled with goose feathers. The feet are in titanium colour coated aluminium, with protective plastic caps. The upholstery matches leather with fabric: leather for the vertical panels and removable fabric for base, cushions and quilting.
